That moment when…
you lose a chance to tell someone how you really feel and realize you may never have that chance again. No matter if it is a good feeling, or feelings of regret and anxiety. When the moment passes and all your built up courage is broken to pieces, its easy to run and hide behind familiar emotions. To me these emotions are the feeling if being close to someone even if it is only for a few minutes. These emotions are what powers me until we meet again. Deep inside you know things will never change and the time for two people to be as one has passed and that time will never come back. When you realize this situation, it is time to unlock the chains and remove yourself from the situation. The hurt will over power your self-esteem and build up all the barriers that you have worked so hard to tear down until you feel like there is nothing left in you to give. Then you wake up one day and realize that the sun has been rising every day and the world has not ended. The day that you pull yourself out of bed and look at the reflection in the mirror and tell that person “you really are good enough,” could be the most powerful thing a woman could embrace. More powerful than the hurtful words and actions of a boy that was removed from your life because there was no place for him in your future, more powerful than the emotions you felt as you cried and prayed things would change, yes. The most powerful thing is the strength you find inside to pull yourself from the wreckage and realize how special and worthy you are to be with someone that will adore you like a princess, not treat you like a trophy. The second the joy of having a trophy runs out we place it in a closet, to be forgotten. The joy of being in love with a princess only strengthens over time.
